Religion / Faith Formation
Learn that God is loving and created all things
Hear and retell Bible stories; begin simple Lectio Divina
Recognize religious objects (cross, altar, Bible) and grow in reverence
Learn and practice simple prayers
Hear stories of saints and understand that the saints are friends of God
English Language Arts
Strengthen decoding skills, increase reading fluency, and comprehension
Read a variety of stories and informational texts.
Build vocabulary and answer who/what/where/why questions about readings

Study of ancient cultures and history as the lived human pursuit of answers to the fundamental human questions and the human desire for God.
Begin to explore the great questions asked by humanity throughout history–Who is God? Who and what is man? What is true, good, and beautiful?
Discover how people from the past worked together to build communities and create traditions.
