6th Grade

Sixth Grade marks the transition into middle school, where students are challenged to reason clearly, analyze complex texts, and deepen their understanding of key concepts. They strengthen academic skills while exploring history, literature, science, and faith through a classical, content-rich curriculum.

Read and analyze classic literature and stories 

Enhance writing, learn grammatical concepts, and practice oral expression 

Continued development of mathematical concepts 

Study ancient civilizations, particularly focusing on Israel, Greece, and Rome

Explore Earth and space science through observation and project-based learning

Strengthen vocabulary and grammar through Latin 

Advance creative skills through art, choir, and band 

Play team sports and enhance their skills in these sports in physical education

Hours of Operation

  • Student supervision begins at 7:45 AM.
  • School is in session from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
  • The office is open from 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM on school days.
  • Student pick-up is from 3:00 PM – 3:15 PM.
  • Afterschool programs available until 4:15 PM.
  • Gypsum, Eagle, Edwards, Avon & Vail bus transportation available.
